Enjoy this touring production of Journey to Singapura from Singapore! Inspired by the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, this uniquely Singaporean story follows Tang Sanzang and his disciples — Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing — as they meet the Durian Master and his assistants, Tian Fu and Tian Shou.

Through a “space-time shift,” they arrive in different eras of Singapore and embark on a fantastical journey that incorporates Singlish and Singapore slang. Through laughter, the audience learns about Singapore’s journey to nationhood.

Dr. Liang Wern Fook’s new musical show Journey to Singapura celebrates Singapore’s culture, history, and food through new songs like “Everything Is Wonderful”; and reimagined classics.
